Carr Davis serves as Of Counsel to Patrick Doerr and Chair of its IP Monetization & Diligence Group, a forward-thinking practice focused on intellectual property assessment, monetization, due diligence, and strategic counseling. A recognized leader in software, risk management, and compliance, Carr has designed and led IP strategies that help companies unlock value, navigate risk, and move vision into action.
In addition to his legal practice, Carr is a Senior Advisor at Oaklins DeSilva+Phillips and a partner at ISMS Applications, a leading provider of technology-assisted compliance solutions. His experience spans content licensing for outlets such as AP, Bloomberg, Dow Jones, and Thomson Reuters, as well as numerous transactions in the SaaS and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) space. Earlier in his career, Carr co-founded FDCH eMedia, pioneering real-time content distribution for clients including CNN, NBC, Fox News, and CBS before its acquisition by Congressional Quarterly. He later served as a partner at ASC Partners, LLC, which was acquired by VIQ Solutions.
An accomplished negotiator and dealmaker, Carr has partnered with private equity and advertising leaders including Marlin Equity Partners and WPP. With a career bridging law, technology, and media, Carr brings trusted expertise and strategic foresight to help clients translate vision into real outcomes.
