Amit Kumar is a seasoned transactional attorney whose practice spans the full lifecycle of a business, from early-stage fundraising through to complex transactions. Drawing on more than two decades of legal and business experience, Amit advises founders, executives, and companies on transactions with a focus on pragmatism and forward-looking strategy.

 

Amit serves as General Counsel of Dreamscape Learn, a mission-driven edtech company.  There, he secured foundational IP rights, structured equity and debt financing rounds, and continues to actively negotiate SaaS platform licenses with educational institutions, with over $100 million in total contract value closed to date. With a Law and AI certification from UC Law SF, he continues to expand his expertise at the evolving intersection of technology and the law.

 

Prior to joining Dreamscape, Amit built a broad transactional practice advising on technology transactions, brand licensing, distribution agreements, and M&A, including public company acquisitions and major divestitures.  Amit's transactional career has been deeply shaped by his work at the crossroads of entertainment and sports. Having worked with brands like adidas and TaylorMade Golf, he has structured high-profile celebrity endorsement and partnership agreements and negotiated collaboration deals with global brands.
