Before there was a name on the door, there were conversations – in business meetings, music venues, theaters, restaurants, conferences, and retreats – in the kinds of spaces where business and creativity naturally cross paths. Those early moments shaped what the firm would become: a place built around trust, creativity, and the determination to help clients.

From the start, the focus was on clients -- from creators, founders, entrepreneurs, and families with ambition to people who didn’t fit neatly into one category but shared the same attributes. Too often, we saw traditional firms miss what mattered to them. They focused on cases, contracts, and transactions, but overlooked the stories, individuality, and ambition behind clients. We realized that clients want solution oriented partners, not lawyers misunderstanding where they exist in the team or just running up costs. Patrick Doerr LLP was created to change that, to offer strategy that fits the rhythm of clients.

The firm grew out of relationships. One introduction led to another. Clients came to us not because we were the biggest or loudest, but because they felt seen, heard, and supported. That foundation – trust, word of mouth, and shared ambition – is at the core of who we are today.
